LGA Accidental Death Marketing Campaign
Accidental Death Marketing Campaign
In 2017, Legal & General America launched a new customer marketing initiative, offering a new coverage option to current policyholders. Specifically, the offer gave select policyholders the opportunity to purchase an Accidental Death (AD) policy with no evidence of insurability.
Following the three campaigns launched in 2017, we’re pleased to announce that we will be rolling out another campaign within the next two weeks. As with the previous campaigns, this one will be handled entirely from our home office — with little to no effort or expense on your part!
During this new campaign, select policyholders who are on a direct bill payment mode will receive an offer to purchase an AD policy through their life policy billing statements. Much like the previous direct mail campaigns, policyholders can enroll in this valuable coverage using an authorization form, which can easily be completed and returned by mail or accepted online.
• Servicing agents and their upline hierarchies will be compensated on accepted offers with a one-time commission on the first year’s premium. For a detailed compensation schedule, contact a member of our sales team.
• Agents and their upline hierarchies must be A&H licensed to receive commissions and their licenses must be in the National Insurance Producer Registry (NIPR).
• The Accidental Death policy is guaranteed issue — no additional underwriting required!
• The mailing will be specific to each customer and will include a personalized coverage amount and pre-calculated premium.
The bottom line
This continues to be a great opportunity for you and your agents to enjoy additional financial compensation — without any additional workload — and for customers to better protect their families’ financial future!

Very Important Companion Life Announcement
From Companion Life:
“From time to time, we must make prudent business decisions that are important for the long-term financial health of Mutual of Omaha. After a careful review of our individual life and annuity product portfolio, as well as current market, economic and regulatory factors, we have made the difficult decision to discontinue sales of our life and annuity products in New York. This decision does not impact our United of Omaha Life and Annuity product portfolio sales nor does it impact any other products currently sold by our company in the state of New York.
The following Companion of New York life products will be discontinued:
Income Advantage IUL
Term Life Express
Children’s Whole Life
Living Promise Whole Life
Ultra Secure Plus Annuity
Bonus Flex Annuity
Ultra Income SPIA
Income Access SPIA
All Companion life and annuity applications must be received in the home office by Monday, March 5, 2018. Applications involving replacements that are signed prior to March 5, 2018 will have an extended receipt deadline to provide time to complete all requirements associated with New York Regulation 60. All Companion life and annuity applications that are received by this date will continue to follow our standard underwriting procedures.
Please be assured pending applications will continue to be processed. You will be able to continue to track your pending cases through Sales Professional Access.
The discontinuation of these products does not change our commitment to servicing our Companion Life inforce customers. AccumUL Answers will remain available in New York for term conversion only.”
